Volunteer Mediator-DALLAS COUNTY juvenile department

At the Dallas County Juvenile Department, we as mediators are dedicated volunteers committed to supporting youth and their families in navigating conflicts without resorting to incarceration. Our mission is to provide alternative solutions that promote understanding, communication, and empathy. By facilitating programs and workshops, we equip young individuals with the tools they need to resolve disputes through constructive dialogue rather than punitive measures. We believe that every youth deserves a chance to learn from their experiences and grow within their communities. Our approach not only helps to reduce the impact of the juvenile justice system but also fosters stronger family bonds and equips participants with essential life skills. Together, we strive to create a safer and more supportive environment for all youth in Dallas County, surrounding areas and throughout the world, steering them toward positive futures filled with hope and opportunity.
